Israel is preparing to deport children who were born and raised in Israel, along with their Filipino mothers who work in the country, with removals to begin in the summer of 2019.
There are around 30,000 migrants from the Philippines living in Israel, mostly working as carers for elderly people.
Some of the migrant workers gave birth to children in Israel, and under a legalisation programme in 2006 and 2010, children aged six or more have been granted permanent residency status.
But Israeli authorities now plan to deport Israel-born children who were not part of these two rounds of legalisation, along with their families, to the countries where their parents came from.
