Renowned British physicist Stephen Hawking has died at the age of 76. Hawking lived for more than three decades with ALS, a type of motor neurone disease. Despite his condition, Hawking communicated with people from all over the world about science and technology. He enjoyed a special relationship with Chinese people, visiting China several times and amassing nearly 4.5 million followers on Weibo, which he used to answer questions from Chinese internet users.
