Locked behind closed gates, required to undertake daily PCR tests, and doing non-stop disinfection is all part of the daily routine for athletes, media and staff inside the “closed loop” bubble at the Beijing Winter Olympics. They will be cut off from the rest of China for the entire duration of the Games, which begin on February 4, 2022, and run until February 20.
