At the age of 17, Eric Chan Chun-him became the first Hong Kong organist to perform at Britain’s iconic Royal Albert Hall in 2014. After years of studying abroad, the young musician decided to return to Hong Kong, the place where it all started. Apart from performing, Chan has experimented with combining the organ with traditional Chinese instruments, such as the suona. In a recent interview with the Post, Chan offered a glimpse of the beauty of the centuries-old instrument and shared his musical ambitions.
