Scientists have developed a lightweight, battery-free device that can stimulate the nervous system and help improve the mobility of stroke survivors with impaired movement and walking instability. Developed by researchers in Hong Kong and in mainland China, the device harvests energy from the wearer’s own movements to power targeted electrical stimulations, helping a user lift their weaker foot and restoring a more natural walking pattern.
