Victoria Harbour Race returns with 4,000 swimmers after 2024 cancellation

The 1km (0.62 mile) journey starts at the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai on Hong Kong Island and ends at the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon.

Hong Kong’s annual Victoria Harbour Race made a return on November 22, 2025, after the previous year’s edition was cancelled because of the threat of a super typhoon. About 4,000 swimmers took part in competitive and leisurely groups in the event, which dates back to 1906.
