International football star Lionel Messi has broken his silence following an outcry from disappointed fans for failing to play in a much-hyped friendly match in Hong Kong on February 4, 2024. Calling the incident “bad luck”, the Inter Miami star said he had been looking forward to the match until an injury sidelined him. Messi said that his leg was getting better, but that he could still miss the next match in the Japanese capital on February 6.
