Fugitive Hong Kong activist Nathan Law granted political asylum in UK

Fugitive Hong Kong activist Nathan Law said on April 7, 2021, that he has been granted political asylum in Britain. The former opposition lawmaker said he did several interviews over four months, and supported his case by citing politically motivated lawsuits and the scope of the national security law. The announcement came more than nine months after Law fled Hong Kong to London, before Beijing imposed the security law for the city.
