Hong Kong opposition activist Joshua Wong and two others were escorted into a detention center in the early hours of March 2, 2021, after police brought 47 activists to court to face charges related to the city's national security law. Wong could be seen entering the facility alongside former chairman of the Democratic Party Wu Chi-wai and former radio host and People Power politician Tam Tak-chi. The 47 activists are accused of conspiracy to commit subversion for organising unofficial election primaries to select opposition candidates for seats in Hong Kong’s legislature in 2020.
