Hong Kong activist Joshua Wong’s district election candidacy in limbo

Hong Kong pro-democracy activist Joshua Wong’s bid to run in the city’s coming district council elections remains in limbo as, according to a government source, election officials avoided his candidacy ruling. After Dorothy Ma, the election officer in charge of vetting his candidacy, went on indefinite sick leave this week, no one agreed to take the vacant job.
