China’s Snowdragon icebreaker has dropped off supplies and cargo in Antarctica after a two-month journey from its home base. The ship docked in ice near the Zhongshan station in advance of China’s 41st Antarctic expedition to study the impact of climate change on Antarctic ecosystems. The seven-month mission will also involve work to build support logistical infrastructure, transport and the construction on another Chinese base, Qinling Station.
