Hong Kong-born actress Wai Ching Ho, known for playing Marvel’s Madame Gao, dead at 83

Hong Kong-born actress Wai Ching Ho has died aged 83. She reportedly suffered a stroke on July 10. Ho was known for her role as Madame Gao in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in films including Daredevil and Iron Fist. She also voiced Grandma Wu in the Pixar film Turning Red. Ho’s acting credits in the US date back to 1990. Over four decades she had numerous roles in American TV and film.
