Hong Kong singer and actor Andy Lau scared his fans again during a concert in southern China on September 9, 2024. He suffered a minor injury to his hand when he nearly fell after he stepped into a stage trapdoor that had unexpectedly been left open. Lau was in Shenzhen on the last stop of his 2024 concert tour on the mainland. In July, a similarly frightening moment unfolded during his concert in Shanghai when he almost fell off a 4-metre (13ft) elevated platform.
