Melania Trump, Peng Liyuan visit Smithsonian museum during Xi’s US state visit

US first lady Melania Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping’s wife, Peng Liyuan, visited the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art in Washington on Thursday during Xi’s state visit to the United States. They toured the museum’s Peacock Room, known for its display of Chinese porcelain, and met Smithsonian officials before watching a performance by a children’s choir from the Hope Chinese School, a Chinese immersion school.
