Air China Boeing 747 grounded in New York after gate refuelling incident

A Boeing 747-8 operated by Air China was grounded at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport after a fuel truck drove away while refuelling. The incident early Monday reportedly damaged the aircraft’s fuel ports and caused a fuel spill on the tarmac. The Chinese flag carrier’s Beijing-bound flight was cancelled, leaving passengers stranded at the gate.
