Weakened Typhoon Bavi still expected to pack a punch on its way to China

Flights have been cancelled and airlines are offering refunds in at least 10 airports, as a weakened Typhoon Bavi nears the mainland Chinese coast, where it is expected to make landfall between Fuqing in Fujian province and Wenling in Zhejiang. There has been no change in the alert despite the downgrade, with Bavi expected to bring heavy rain across the region in the next 24 hours.
