Hundreds of snakes escape breeding farm in China amid historic rainfall

About 900 snakes have been swept away by floodwaters after a breeding farm collapsed in Hengzhou amid severe weather across large sections of China. Videos circulating on Chinese social media show the reptiles being carried off as water levels rose in the city in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. A village official said most of the snakes were not venomous. A team of 10 people has been deployed to try and catch the animals using nets and stun guns.
