Several pupils were hurt after a car crashed in front of a primary school in the central Chinese province of Hunan on November 19, 2024. Videos circulating on Chinese social media showed parents and children lying injured on the ground and a man being held down and handcuffed by a figure in uniform. The car collision in the city of Changde followed a series of attacks in recent days, including the death of at least 35 people in a mass hit-and-run and a knife attack that killed eight people.
