As southern China enters the rainy season, many regions are experiencing continuous heavy rainfall and deadly landslides. At least 9 people have been reported dead and over a dozen missing as of June 18, 2024. The severe weather is causing thousands to flee their homes. Fujian and Guangdong are the worst affected provinces, with rivers running metres above danger levels.
