Peruvian President Dina Boluarte will visit China at the end of June 2024 to try to court more investment in her country. Boluarte will address recent controversies surrounding the operation of a new megaport being built with Chinese financing. The facility in the Peruvian coastal city of Chancay is expected to open in November and will serve as the main trade hub between South America and China.
