Chinese President Xi Jinping called on Washington to be a partner and not to “say one thing and do another”, in a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Beijing on April 26, 2024. While noting that “positive progress” has been made in various areas since the presidential summit with his US counterpart Joe Biden in San Francisco in November, Xi said there was room for ‘further efforts” on problems that remained unresolved.
