Aerial images show site of deadly crash of Boeing 737-800 in China’s southern Guangxi region
Drone footage shot on March 23, 2022, showed the scarred landscape and debris at the crash site of China Eastern flight MU5735 in China’s Guangxi autonomous region. The flight carrying 132 passengers and crew suddenly went into a steep dive and slammed into a heavily wooded mountainous area on March 21 as the plane was en route from the city of Kunming towards Guangzhou. There have been no reports of survivors. The cause of the crash remains unknown, but investigators recovered one of the plane’s “black box” flight data recorders on March 23.
