Chinese President, Xi Jinping says peaceful reunification with Taiwan ‘must be realised’

In a speech marking the 110th anniversary of the Xinhai revolution that established the first Chinese republic, President Xi Jinping on October 9, 2021 vowed to pursue peaceful reunification with Taiwan. He urged the self-ruled island to ‘stand on the right side of history’ and ‘join hands to achieve China’s complete reunification’.
