Alibaba co-founder Joe Tsai: Jack Ma is fine and ‘lying low right now’

Alibaba executive vice-chairman Joe Tsai appeared on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on June 15, 2021, to discuss a range of issues including company co-founder Jack Ma’s stepping away from public view. Ma retired as Alibaba’s chairman on his 55th birthday in September 2019. Tsai is also chairman of the board of directors of the South China Morning Post, which Alibaba owns.
