Taiwan unveils new amphibious assault and transport ship for service in the South China Sea

Taiwan unveiled its first modern amphibious assault and transport vessel on April 13, 2021. The Yushan, a landing platform dock named after the island’s highest mountain, is equipped with anti-aircraft missiles and other weapons. It will be used for missions to Taipei-controlled islets in the South China Sea.
