China now has nearly 1 billion internet users

The number of internet users in China reportedly reached 989 million by the end of 2020, after increasing 85.4 million from March the same year. The figure was  released by the China Internet Network Information Centre on February 3, 2021, after a study of the nation that is home to around 1.4 billion people.
