Everest even taller after China and Nepal settle long-running debate over world’s highest mountain

Mount Everest has grown, at least in terms of the official height according to new measurements agreed by China and Nepal. The Himalayan neighbours announced on December 8, 2020, that they have determined that the world’s highest peak is some 86cm (2ft, 10in) taller than the highest previous estimate.
