A former rising star in China’s ruling Communist Party has been sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of accepting massive bribes. Sun Zhengcai was the party boss in China and considered to be among the next generation of China’s top leaders, but he was fired from his post in July 2017. Sun pleaded guilty at his trial in April.
