The far-reaching powers of China’s new anti-corruption 'super agency'

China's new anti-corruption agency has far-reaching powers, which has sparked concern among human rights groups. The National Supervisory Commission is designed to weed out corruption in all state-run institutions. It ranks higher than Supreme People’s Court and top prosecutors’ office and has the right to detain suspects and deny them legal representation.
