More than 100 Nepalese citizens and one British national have been rescued during the most recent search operations following devastating flash floods, according to the Nepalese army on Tuesday. The confirmed death toll exceeded 1,000 on Tuesday, as rescuers used heavy machinery, helicopters and excavators to try and reach thousands of people still missing one week after the Himalayan disaster left a trail of destruction in the region.
