Rohingya survivors recount harrowing boat capsizing that has left 200 missing

Around 200 Rohingya refugees are feared dead after they went missing when a boat capsized in the Andaman Sea on its way to Malaysia. Several survivors say they floated for two days before being rescued by a passing ship. The refugee vessel left the southern Bangladeshi port of Teknaf on April 4, 2026, before it sank.
