Singapore is requiring airlines to prevent “undesirable” visitors from boarding planes bound for the city state. The new directive aims to keep out foreigners who have previous records in Singapore of having committed crimes, attempting to enter under a different identity, overstaying their visa or working illegally. The move that went into effect January 30, 2026, also bars people who have been assessed as posing a threat or risk to public safety.
