At least 31 people were killed and dozens injured after a hospital in Myanmar’s Rakhine was hit by air strikes launched by the country’s military on December 10, 2025. The area is almost entirely controlled by the Arakan Army, one of the ethnic groups fighting the junta, which seized power in a 2021 coup and triggered a civil war. In recent months, the military has intensified air strikes to regain territory from ethnic armies.
