Caught between their ancestral traditions and the attractions of the modern world, the indigenous Maniq are now fighting for land ownership rights.

For centuries, the Maniq people have lived as nomadic hunter-gatherers in Thailand’s southern rainforests. They have adapted to life in the forest, hunting and gathering across the seasons. But the lure of a settled life is changing their ancestral ways, and the Maniq people who step into a new world are now fighting for the right to own the land that has been their home for generations.
