Super Typhoon Usagi made landfall in the Philippines on November 14, 2024, as authorities ordered evacuations in many of the country’s northeastern towns. Usagi is the fifth typhoon in a month to hit the archipelago nation. More than 24,000 people in Cagayan province have been forced to flee amid the series of storms, according to government data.
