Tropical Storm Trami left 179 dead or missing in the Philippines, while entire towns were submerged in floodwaters. The storm made landfall at the end of October, around All Saints’ Day, complicating the large-scale gatherings traditionally held by Christians at cemeteries, including the Holy Spirit Memorial Park, during the holiday.
