The Indian Space Research Organisation has placed the country’s Chandrayaan-3 rover in “sleep mode” after completing its walk on the lunar surface. The process involved turning off the rover’s payloads and transmitting the data collected back to Earth via the lander. The space agency plans to reawaken the rover for another set of assignments when the next lunar day starts on September 22.
