OpenAI’s ChatGPT made its debut in Japan’s parliament on March 29, 2023. Member of parliament Kazuma Nakatan challenged Prime Minister Fumio Kishida with a question generated by ChatGPT. Nakatan also displayed a ChatGPT version of the chatbot’s response. After comparing the two, Kishida lightheartedly insisted his answer was better.
