Australian surfer goes back for more after breaking world record for longest surf

Blake Johnston broke the record for the world’s longest surf session on March 17, 2023, after he spent more than 30 hours and 11 minutes riding the waves. After doing so, the Australian surfer headed back into the sea with hopes to take his record to 40 hours. The physical strain of surfing for extended periods of time is extreme, but Johnston is using this feat to raise money for youth mental health initiatives.
