Nato chief says China ‘learning lessons’ from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine

China is closely “watching closely” the conflict in Ukraine and a Russian victory would embolden “authoritarian regimes” to use “brute force” to achieve their goals, according to Nato Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. The chief of the transatlantic security alliance made his remarks on January 31, 2023, during a visit to Japan to strengthen security ties in East Asia.
