Nato chief visits South Korea and Japan to discuss North Korea, Ukraine war, China

Nato Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg arrived in South Korea on January 29, 2023, the first stop on a trip aimed at strengthening the alliance’s security ties with Seoul and Tokyo. Referring to Pyongyang providing weapons to a Russian private military group, Stoltenberg said events in Europe and North America were “interconnected” with what happens in Asia and the Indo-Pacific region.
