Massive landslide in India kills at least 40 soldiers and civilians

At least 42 people have died in a massive landslide in India’s Noney district in Manipur, triggered by torrential rainfall on June 29, 2022. Among the bodies recovered from the rubble were those of 27 soldiers stationed at a railway construction site. Officials suspect nearly 20 others remain missing, including railway workers and civilians.
