Laos dam collapse: survivors recount the horror

At 8pm on Monday, July 23, a susidiary dam on the Xe Pian Xe Namnoy hydropower complex in southern Laos burst.

Hundreds of millions of cubic metres of water surged from the dam.

At least 39 people are dead and 97 people are still missing.
