First double amputee bids to climb Mount Everest after ban revoked

A 69-year-old Chinese climber who lost both his legs is making his fifth bid to climb Everest after Nepal’s top court overruled a government ban on blind people and double amputees from attempting the ascent. Xia Boyu lost his legs to frostbite on Everest four decades ago. Now he hopes to finally reach the world’s highest peak.
