The mother of actress Michelle Yeoh cried for joy in a video chat with her daughter, minutes after her historic Oscar win. The 60-year-old Malaysian actress clinched the award for her role in the sci-fi film, Everything Everywhere All at Once. Yeoh’s family and friends were gathered at a live screening of the awards ceremony at a Kuala Lumpur cinema, where there were loud cheers, hugs and tears of joy the moment the announcement was made.
