Wu Qing has been the Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) since February 2024. He previously chaired the Shanghai Stock Exchange and held various senior roles within the CSRC, where he earned the nickname "the broker butcher" for cracking down on market violations and insider trading.
