Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world, and widely considered the most prestigious tennis championship. Held in London at the All England Club in Wimbledon since 1877, it is one only of four Grand Slam tennis tournaments along with the Australian, French and US Open events. Wimbledon is the only tennis tournament still played on grass, the game's original surface. The 2015 edition will take place from 29 June to 12 July 2015. There’s plenty more to come, says Novak Djokovic after clinching ninth grand slam

Novak Djokovic vowed there are more grand slam titles to come after he clinched a third Wimbledon and ninth career major on Sunday. After seeing off Roger Federer for the second year in succession at the All England Club, the world number one moved ahead of Andre Agassi, Jimmy Connors, Ivan Lendl, Fred Perry and Ken Rosewall, who all won eight grand slams.

History girl Serena Williams wins sixth Wimbledon title

Serena Williams won a sixth Wimbledon title on Saturday as the world number one became the oldest woman to win a grand slam crown with a 6-4, 6-4 victory against Garbine Muguruza in the final.
