US midterm elections 2026

The US midterm elections, to be held on November 3, 2026, will see voters choose all 435 members of the House of Representatives and 35 of the Senate’s 100 members, in addition to legions of state and local officials. Midterms are traditionally seen as a referendum on the president’s performance. Heading into the election, Republicans currently hold a narrow majority in both chambers of Congress.
