People’s Daily is a prominent Beijing-based state-run media outlet, and the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CCP). Its primary mission is to report on national and international news, reflecting governmental perspectives and disseminating CCP policies and viewpoints. The institution focuses on public information and propaganda, operating across various platforms, including a significant multilingual online presence. Recognised as the largest newspaper in the PRC and among the world’s top 10 by UNESCO, it serves as an authoritative voice for official government policy.
