Moonshot AI's Kimi chatbot
Moonshot AI released its Kimi chatbot to the public in November 2023. In July 2026, it released Kimi K3, an upgraded model that debuted in third place on the Artificial Analysis AI leaderboard, behind Anthropic's Claude Fable 5 and OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol. K3 offered cybersecurity performance “extremely close” to GPT-5.6 Sol at a fraction of the cost, according to Swiss firm Aikido Security.
